Crustacea are invertebrates, and currently, they have been put in the “too hard basket” for the purposes of animal welfare.

The best way to despatch a live crustacean is to electrocute them. There is a recent product called Crustastun –
“NO need to boil or butcher alive; Reduces harmful bacteria; Fast, clean and efficient; NO need for prior chilling…”

But how would you do it in an ordinary domestic kitchen? One acceptable way is to cut them longitudinally to quickly destroy the major ganglia. But what if you don’t have the strength and skill to do this in one quick blow?

Is it a drastic action?

Looks like an artificial lake and it is used as a swimming beach for families with young children.

It can be easily refilled.

So removal of a deadly venomous fish would be justifiable.

There is mounting evidence that captive fish should be taught basic life skills before entering the wild.

Clever fish are raised in a hatchery with rocks, pebbles, and plastic plants, adornments that provide mental stimulation. Dumb fish are raised in a bare tank, the usual environment for billions of hatchery fish…

One person said the Moxfish seriously helped their "fish" with wisdom teeth pain.

Another said their "fish" had sleeping troubles and a sinus infection. But with some of the medication, they were feeling better quite soon.

From time to time, we see fish (mainly goldfish and koi), present with swimbladder disorders. Often they present with excessive buoyancy and float uncontrollably to the water surface. Here are a couple of examples:• catfish – https://youtu.be/rZlySKJkULg

Sometimes, the opposite happens, and they stay sunk on the tank floor.

For some time now, I’ve not been able to find a way to treat "heavy" fish. I’ve had minimal success with re-inflating a shrunken swimbladder.

Our colleague in the USA has pioneered the treatment for curing a sunken (negatively buoyant) goldfish.
