I’ve spent the last 15 YEARS working not just with fish, but histopathology as well.
Now these researchers are saying that pigeons can learn similar skills in 15 DAYS!!!
The authors conclude that pigeons are “effective, tractable, informative, statistically interpretable and cost effective medical image observers.”
It is alarming that this sort of work is published. Would you want your tumour diagnosed by a qualified (veterinary) pathologist, or by a bird?

I would want diagnosed by human pathologist but not a veterinar!

It’s true what you say. We need to stick with the species we know, veterinarians and physicians alike.
