  1. At the time of BLACKHAWK DOWN in Mogadishu in Somalia in late 1993, the US and UN forces lost more people to sharks than sniper fire. Life expectancy on STANDING in the water based on exposure rate was equivalent to life expectancy of a Northern Ireland policeman in 1972. The night of BLACKHAWK DOWN changed that by 3 orders of magnitude.
    Shark attack on mammals is real but humans can expect a quality of life.
    White sharks, like crocs and bull sharks , increase in numbers with protection so at some time decisions must be made in localised areas.
